The botanically, grape is considered to be a berry (refer1) and its biological name is Vitis vinifera. The grapes are of different colors and sizes i.e. green, yellow black and pink.

Dates with biological name Phoenix dactylifera L., belongs to the members of the palm family Arecaceae, or Palmae (refer 1). Such name of the species dactylifera or “date-bearing” is combination of two words; one is greek word dáktulos in replacement of “date” and the other one is stem who is associated with the Greek verb ferō. (Refer 2,3).Also in Phoenix dactylifera L. , phoenix refers to date palm and "dactylifera" refers to meaning of finger (Linné, 1734).
